I would like advice on adjusting spark dwell adjustment handle. I'm assuming it's for idle but likely the timing of spark when going from dead stop to accelarate. Am I correct? And the way to tune it would be to goose the engine then readjust repeatedly unit its tuned? Also I'm confused about the spark timing adjustment/ 18'o degree BTDC. Can someone clarso I don't ruin a piston. I've read alot but still need it clarified please. The spark dwell issue seems to be ignored alot. Thanks guys, I found all my answers hear on Iboats and yall have been a blessing. My engine runs good for the most part but I'd like to know how to master the fine tuning. I have no timing light at the moment and I know there is away without one. I made me a homemade spark tester with a 2x4 and two nails 7/16 apart that works great.
