I don't believe my outboard is charging. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the charging system? How do you test to see if it's the stator or rectifier? All help is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Check the top secret file at the top of the page; your diagram may be in there. Go to cdi electronics web page and look up test instructions for your motor. Good luck.

You can use a simple household voltmeter to do some testing. At rest, a charged battery should normally read about 12.4 volts. Once the engine is started, it may go down slightly in voltage, then start to increase as the engine runs. Since your engine has a voltage regulator, you should see close to 13.5 volts once the engine has run for 15-20 minutes or so.
