I have a 1996 Johnson 50HP outboard with a damaged powerhead.
I have been looking at different powerheads for sale and I am wondering what years of powerheads
would work on this motor?
I have had sellers suggest that a powerhead from the 1980's will work.
Although the powerheads look similar, I am guessing that the mounting holes and positions of certain
parts have changed over the years.
