Recently bought a Boat which has several engine issues.
1. Wont start by key. There is power going to the key and coming from the key, but when engaging the key the starter does not turn over. Starter can be activated by directly jumping with cables to battery. Engine starts 1st pull with starter rope.
2. With engine running if I turn on the house batteries which are fully charged it kills the engine.
3. If I use the push button kill switch the engine will not start for at least an hour after shutting down. If I instead turn off the ignition switch than turn it back on to pull start it it will start back up immediately.
Looking for trouble shooting input and theories of what the issue may be.
