2002 Johnson 90 oil siphoning problem

During hot weather ,in storage , oil siphons into the engine from the oil tank making the engine hard tonstart . How do I stop the siphoning? Will a cut off valve on the oil line work?

Is the Oil tank mounted higher than the OMS pump? Is the vent in the oil tank cap clear? You do not want to put a valve in the oil line.

Fix the cap on oil tank as its not venting....
