1972 50 hp Evinrude selectric remote. Cable attachment to the throttle arm

1972 Evinrude (Model #50273C) 50hp with selectric control (Push button fwd, neutral, rev) mounted on project boat, a 1985 Starcraft fm 160. Throttle cable removal from remote. Exploded diagram is misleading. It appeared to me the set screw is mounted from the rear but it actually is accessed from the front.

Hi Bob, originally I wanted to know how to remove the selectric remote from the boat leaving it attached to the motor on my project boat. I didn't get a response that was helpful. Anyway when I finally figured it out I thought I'd put the process here in case someone else wanted the information.
