I had nothing to do while I waited for the engine parts to arrive so I restored the cowling. I used Bond-o, sand paper and steel wool to get the shape back and fill in the dents and scratches. Then I sprayed it white with 6 coats of paint, lightly sanding between each coat. For the decals I found a gentleman on the internet that custom makes them. I sent him some pictures and dimensions and he did the rest. He is great to deal with, has tons of boat and motor decals and is extremely reasonable. You can contact him at david@shabestari.com
Tell him Eric sent you from iboats.com forums

Thanks Rick! The engine parts just came in and I got the motor to run yesterday (only for a minute). I'm having fun tinkering on this project motor.

Be very very careful. What starts out as a little fun can quickly lead down the path to an addiction. LOL. Glad you having success. Rick.
