So I bought this boat the other day. They guy told me its mixed 32:1 but everything I have read says 50:1 or 40:1 what is the real answer? Is running 32:1 bad?

Sorry I am a newb and dont wanna mess this up.

The proper ratio is 50:1, you can run a richer mixture, it will smoke a little more and might foul plugs quicker.

I was running it on the 32:1 and it seemed to do fine. Is there gonna be a problem if I switch to 40:1 or 50:1? Will I notice a difference at all?

Shouldn't be any problems running 50:1, but if you like running 32:1 go ahead and do it, woun't hurt anything except more smoke.

Carbed two strokes always smoke when started. Even if they are warmed up. No real need to add extra oil to the fuel mixture. As mentioned 50:1 is the recommended factory service manual mixture ratio for 1977.
