Re: Looking for a Primer Solenoid Assy for J25VL3SIE 2001 Johnson 25 hp 3 cyl
Yes. All primer solenoid tops (valve structure) are the same. One inlet, two outlets.
Now there are SOME differences....like the presence of the schrader valve for fogging.
And the wire connections.
But they are all basically the same, and any one will work in the place of any other.
If you find one with the wrong connections, cut em off and put on something that will substitute.
Two pin Deutsch connectors are about 6 bucks for both the plug and socket.
From here:

If you pull a used primer solenoid from a junk motor salvage yard, I bet any primer solenoid close to around the same year as your motor will work. Electrical connections and all.
The only difference I have EVER seen in the electrical connection is older styles have a ring terminal for the purple/white wire and newer ones have the bullet inline connector style.
Look at the ones on EBay....pics will confirm the right electrical connections.
I got 34 hits for primer solenoids on EBay. New ones, used ones.....
