1972 50 hp Evinrude Throttle cable.

1972 Evinrude (Model #50273C) 50hp with selectric control (Push button fwd, neutral, rev) mounted on project boat, a 1985 Starcraft fm 160. Throttle cable removal from remote. Exploded diagram is misleading. It appeared to me the set screw is mounted from the rear but it actually is accessed from the front.

That's exactly like the one on the boat I just sold! But the bad new's is, I've never had to take the throttle apart. It look's as if there is a set screw in the pin that has to come out, try that. Mine was a 50 horse,ran great! I hope the guy that bought it has a good time with it.
