I have a 2002 115 Johnson (mounted on a 17' Aqua Sport). I have review the forum and applied some of the suggested fixes I found.
THE SITUATION: The motor runs great at idle, starts every time, runs great at above 2000 RPM to WOT.
Between 1200 and 2000 RPM's the engine appears to be missing....and some times when powering up stalls.
When operating between 1200 and 2000 RPM's if I press the electronic choke a few times quickly the motor seems to run fine for about 20 seconds.....the same thing when powering up, if I press the electronic choke a few time prior to...no problem.
I know its starving for fuel but, I can not seem to find the specific problem.
I have changed the fuel filter, water separator, fuel bulb, tightened all fuel connections (including carb mounts) and checked all fuel lines. I also ran through a tank with sea foam.
I would appreciate any advice as to where I might look next. Especially anyone who has experienced this situation in the past.
