2000 evinrude 115 ficht starts without cooling water, but wont with water on!?

Hi,
my 2000 evinrude 115 ficht was cranking but wouldn't start. While checking, discovered by accident
that it will start with water off. After turning water back on runs little bit and shuts off again???

Look at the vst cover on the back of the engine, that's where all the fuel lines come together, is the cover pushed up, if it is this could mean that water/ fuel, is mixing in the vapor separator tank.

Everything looks fine from outside. There is no leaks to engine.

No the cross over will be on the inside of the vst, you wont see a leak, Cut the two zip ties that hold the water lines on and pull them off and let them drain on your hand, can you smell fuel?.
