Paint for a 1980 Evinrude 100HP

What is the correct "color" for the silver part of the Evinrude 1980 V-4 motors? Is it still available somewhere?

Check your local marina / BRP dealer. As far as I know they still sell all colours. I've purchased OEM paint for my 76 Johnson, 1987 Evinrude and 1988 Johnson and as I recall, they had it available on the shelf, didnt even have to place a special order.

I'll give 'em a try. I was hoping to find an aftermarket paint (like Moeller or Tempo), and a correct color, and a clearcoat.

If you go to the factory website: epc.brp.com and look up your specific engine, there is a tab in the parts list for paint. Take the paint number to your local BRP dealer. It's probably superceded a few times, but they usually can get it.
