Need help with Evinrude 50 Hp water impeller/output

Just picked up a new boat with a Evinrude e50becde motor, When it ran shortly in a bucket at the previous owners place there wasent any water output from the motor. Took the cover off and traced it to where it goes into the motor, All seems fine.

The screened inlet doesnt look clogged, any ideas guys? im a hotrod guy but this is my first endeavor into a boat motor.

You may not have enough water by using a bucket.it should be deep enough to cover the cavation plate.if still no water then the impeller needs service.if this an older electric shift it needs different gear lube also. Grub

just Ran it in a XL garbage can......

Ended up being the hose barb water exit that snaps into the motor casing, was blocked shut :facepalm:

Least it was an easy and cheap fix
