Battery hookup to johnson motor

My brother unhooked his battery from his motor to charge it up Now can not remember which wire goes where when he took the battery back to hook it up. Just two wires Im guessing? any help for him?

He should trace the battery cables to the motor. The positive cable will normally go to the starter solenoid. The negative cable will be grounded to the block, possibly near or at the starter solenoid. Also, normally battery cables are red for positive and black for negative. If he has two blacl ones, after you figure out which is the positive cable, wrap some red tape around it for the next time.
