6hp evinrude cooling problem

I have a late 70s 6hp evinrude fisherman that isnt pumping cooling water.
suspect pump impeller but dont have a manual,so i dont know procedure to access pump.
can anyone give me instructions ?

Remove the 4 bolts holding the gearcase on.
Drop it down to expose the brass shift rod connector, might beeasier if you put it in reverse.
Remove the lower screw on the brass connector.
You will have to rotate the drive shaft by turning the prop to align the cotter in on the upper crank seal.
Once you align the cotter in with the slot the lower unit will come off.
You will have to align the cotter pin with the slot to install the lower unit, you will also have to align the splines with the crank by turning the prop.
Hope all that makes sense, it's actually easier than it sounds.
