Hi all, just purchased a 24' funtoon pontoon for what I seemed like a "can't pass this up" kinda deal. The engine was thrown in with the purchase of the pontoon and trailer so I actually have yet to hook it up. This is my first boat so I don't know very much yet.

Anyway, I'm trying to identify exactly what engine I have and verify the year. The model# on the transom bracket says: 60ESL70B and the serial # is J3311470. The serial # matches the numbers on the quarter size plate on top of the engine.

The registration shows it as a 1974 Evinrude 55hp though the seller said it was a 65 Triumph (which it says on the engine cover, "Triumph" on the back and "65" on the front, but claims it has a 70 hp powerhead.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
