well since 1982 I used to use this 1 1/2 hp motor for a flat bottom boat havent used it since but kept it in the dry all the time and drained the gas ect. when put it up well put some gas in it and pulled the rope a few times and she started wow couldnt believe it. so i took the carb off cleaned it real good looked in the gas tank everything great there. now comes the question . slow knob on the top and fast on the bottom wheres a good place to start . if i am to clockwise turn them till they stop how far should i back them out. for a good starting point and procedure from there ??????????????

Normally the static setting for the low speed needle is 1 1/4 turn out from lightly seated.
The high speed needle is 3/4 turn out from lightly seated.
You will have to fine tune it under load in the water.
