Hey guys, once again I come to you all for help, But this time it is for my dad.
He has a 1987 40 hp Johnson VRO that has stopped peeing. Guessing it is the impeller that needs replacing. Since there are no outboard mechanics around here that you can count on anymore, I will be trying to do this for him.
all that being said, I know very little about outboards.
Again, it is a 1987 40 hp Johnson VRO J40 ELCUD S/N B7419291. I need to know what to do, look out for and a part number from which to order. Thanks for the help in advance.
Also, anything else we should check why we are have the lower unit removed?
