how do i remove the transom mount

I am new to this, and have started repairs on a E50tlccs. I have the engine running well, and now would like to change the transom mount. the one currently on the motor is coroded something terrible. I have found a 40 evenrude, that i can use for parts. Just looking at the mount, I dont want to be suprised when taking it off. I see what looks like 2 bolts that hold the 2 halves together, then each half slides off of the tube at the top. are there any springs or levers that will fall out ..(this is a manual tilt) or if someone has a schematic would be great.. thank you

go to marineengine.com, look up your motor, all the exploded views are there....from top to bottom.

You can also go to shop.evinrude.com and find some good diagrams.

thank you, that will help.. guess knowing where to look is one of biggest problems..
