I removed the VRO from my 1984 150 hp evinrude and replaced it with 2 pre 1984 style fuel pumps. While running it with the water hose connected a buzzer started going off. Is this related to the VRO removal or is it another issue?
That's probably the "low oil" warning horn that needs to be disconnected. I believe it's a tan wire with a rubber, single wire connector. Un-plug it and leave it laying in the pan.
