Hello, I am trying to figure out on my friends Johnson 70 outboard is the shifters.
I know that the motor uses a Johnson Powershift with the control box all in one with the red plug (Non electric shift).
I was wondering If we could use the older double shifter with the black gear selector and Red throttle the OMC ShipMaster.
The boat has the wire harness from an older Johnson 35 from the 60's. We have ignition and choke with the old wire harness but we are still trying to figure out the shift. If any one can help me, pictures would be great. Just trying to save my friend some money because those Shifmaster shifters are alot of money.
