Rewiring 76 sea sprite with 75 johnson stinger

Bought a 76 Sea Sprite, tri-hull, last fall with a 75 hp Johnson Stinger. Motor runs fine, boat floats, but the electrical looks iffy.

I connect and disconnect the battery every time I use it because the last guy who owned it put on a bilge pump and radio that drain the battery.

I looked under the steering column/dash and see the electrical wires from motor going into one circuit breaker and that's it. (none of the lights are connected and there is an old tach on the dash which is disconnected as well).

So, besides carrying a fire extinguisher with me all the time, can you guys suggest a good book on rewiring and a good source to buy a new circuit board?

Get the OEM service manual....you can get them here.
Don't get an aftermarket manual...you will regret it.

check around the net for components.
