Hello All,
First off, thank you for all the support you guys have given me so far, you've helped out a lot! My question this time is regarding the gear oil for the 57 35 hp Javelin. Does anyone know the specs of the correct oil to use for the LU? I ordered a repair manual, unfortunately, it got mailed to an old address where I no longer live. I really want to change the oil in the LU, I drained a tad of it to see what it looks like, and the color is yellowish, kind of creamy. Does this mean water got into the LU? This calls for an impeller change if I remember correctly. Also, if anyone has a pdf repair manual, shoot me a PM.

The motor is working fine, only problem is its stuck in gear. I don't think the gears are stripped since the prop spins fine. I checked the linkage bolt in the window as someone suggested, and it looked fine. Still waiting on the reseal kit before I tear into the LU. Any more ideas on where the shifting could be stuck? Armature plate?

Thanks again, you guys saved me quite a few trips to the mechanic.

Throttle on "slow" position? You can't shift to neutral while it is on "fast".
