Should a prop slightly spin when a motor is in neutral or be at a dead stop at idle? A friend of mine replaced his lower and the prop spins slowly.Theres no power behind it,You can stop it by hand. His motor doesnt bang into gear, My prop does not spin at idle in neutral but it bangs into gear.Whos is out of adjustment?

Probably idle rpm is too high ... should be ~ 650 rpm in gear, in the water.

Your comment about "making it stop by hand" still make me cringe...OMG!!!

I agree with wilde1j that the rpm is too high causing the bang, but it happens when you have it on the muffs. Both LR are ajusted fine, just the one that spins in nuetral is tighter (bearings, shafts, etc.) causing friction to make it turn.

I hope you don't have to change your username to "lefty" someday!!
