Hi I have a 1978 140 Johnson and have to replace the warning horn in the remote control box, but the old type horn is no longer available. The new one has two spade connections and a bullet connection. The old type horn just had two spade connections, so does anyone know how to connect the new horn please? Many thanks:)

The built in black wire is simply a ground. Ground it anywhere a ground is convenient.

The TAN (sensor) wire is to be connected to the slide on spade terminal closest to that ground wire. The purple (+) wire connects to the remaining spade terminal. Having these wires reversed results in weird happenings.
