Hi, im new to this forum and am having a few issues with a boat

Sorry if this is a long winded post

There seems to be on the port side of the powerhead that the fuel isnt burning in the cylinder as the plugs are wet.
A weird observation is with the 2 sensor wires for coils 2 and 4 are round the wrong way, but it runs like **** when they are hooked up properly.

Number 2 and 4 cylinders are sparking and when you take the lead off the motor doesn't decrease in revs unlike the starboard side.

Things I have replaced...
all 4 coil packs
powerpack
spark plugs

Have tested the timer base and stator with an OHMS meter and a mega and they both seem to be fine.

Im out of ideas what to check next or what could be wrong, any help would be appreciated.

If you have the sensor coil for cylinders 2 & 4 wired backwards, you would not have any response when removing the plug wires as the engine would be running out of time.

On the bottom portion of the powerpack with the screw terminal running right to left as 1,2,3,4 etc, they should be wired as follows. First color is solid, second color is the stripe.

1 - Black/Yellow (Kill Circuit)

2 - Black/White (#2 Sensor)
3 - Orange (#2 Coil Primary)

4 - White/Black (#4 Sensor)
5 - Orange (#4 Coil Primary)

Check that the "Orange" coil primary wires are leading to the proper coils.
