There is no place ready made for a tell tale. Your needle valves simply need new packings. I'm surprised you are getting enough water with those muffs. I forget the rest of the questions.

Be sure to replace the t stat, it is essential in your cooling system.

Those plugs are toast, replace them with Champion J6C

Are you getting good spark on both cylinders? What is your tilt set at?

As Frank said, I would clean/rebuild the carb and be sure to use new packing washers. The packing nuts, 7/16" will tighten to keep the needles from vibrating loose.

i checked the t stat on the stove it opened at 175.. i just did a rebuild on the carb but not anything to the needles it has new jets, float and gasgets.. did plugs when i got the boat but there black and oil all over them.. spark is good on both and i have my tilt on the second to the last out not in.

If it runs well perhaps you can just tighten the packing nuts to firm up the needles without rebuilding the carburetor. Try the next size lower pitched prop to get her on plane quicker.

will that slow it down if i change the prop?? and where can i get one? i dont even know whats on it now.. the one thats on it look kind of little..??..??..
