1975 Evinrude 135 HP shift rod

Hello Everyone,
I have a 1975 Evinrude 135 hp (135538E) and it needs a shift rod #388641. I?ve found on ebay part number 385521 which is the same part number listed on the Evinrude site. Will this work on my motor?

The shift rod number I see is 318138.
