Hi all,

Need some help trying to work out year model of my 35hp Evinrude. I have tried to apply the "INTRODUCES" and also the model list for pre 80's motors but cant work it out.
I believe it is a late 70's model but that was just what the previous owner told me.

MODEL NO: E35RSH (the "H" is what is throwing me)

SERIAL NO: H 132110

Thanks in advance, any help would be appreciated.

Can you post a photo of the outboard? I do not believe the S or H are correct. With pictures we will be able to accurately figure what year you have.

It is a 1982 Commercial motor. INTRODUCES doesn't work on those.

Still curious to see a pic. Do the commercial models look exactly like the recreationals as far as cowl, color, etc.?

Usually, but not always, they are older models without all the bells and whistles. I don't have a picture of the 35.

Not to commandeer the thread, but the ad you posted says 'extra strength where it counts. ...working conditions that can mean round-the-clock operation... churning through water so muddy you could almost walk on it..'

Does indicate that they are engineered better or have better water intakes, etc.? Now my curiosity is piqued!:D

Hi Guys, thanks for the replies.

Have attached some photos, looks like it is a commercial model, no wonder I was having some many problems getting it identified.

Thanks agian for your assistance.

Could you by chance pop the cowl off it and snap some pics? I have a '79 35 and just want to compare.

Pretty cool motor.

It means the ad department was doing what it was getting paid to do.
