Have a E60tlcuc 1987 60hp everude it had storm damage that damaged the head and coils on the engine, the coils that were on the motor were 582508-24DM-OA I bought two coils off ebay that I was told wold work, they were 58250:cool:A-06T27 will these work the same or they different, I have installed them but I can't seem to get the engine to fire over. I have pulled the plugs and trun the engine over and am getting blue fire coming out the plugs, but i still will not fire off. can the plugs fire and the power pack be bad, if not what else could it be ?

Re: ignition problems

open air gap tester set at 7/16" to test spark...battery may not be spinning the motor over fast enough with the plugs in < need about 300 rpm. >..marineengine.com..ignition...will show components..cdielectronics.com/troubleshooting will list values each of these components should produce and the testing sequence
