1991 Johnson VG150GLEI Seized Up

Guys anybody got any ideas what to do with this engine? Rebuild? or is there a exchange shop? I hate to buy a new on because i would have to change all wiring and controls. Anybody got one for sale? Any suggestions would be great!!!

Is the powerhead seized up or is it the gear case ??

first take your time and access your current motors condition. if nothing else it would be a good parts motor. there are plenty of OMC 150s out there..check at some local shops and marinas, also check craigs list and local sale papers. you should be able to find a late 80s or early 90s model for around 1500 bucks..be sure to check compression and if possible run it and test run it before buying. pay less if you cannot test run it.

Check gearcase as suggested and if it is the powerhead find a newer year as the 1991 60? had a oddball crank,lower end cap which is now NLA and the old pressure back piston rings.
