Does anyone have any ideas for separating and removing the powerhead from exhaust housing on '78, 150 hp, Johnson? It seems to be stuck on there and I'm afraid to wedge anything between the two. Do I absolutely need an engine hoist? I'm sure I have removed all the bolts. Thanks.

Normally if you have an engine hoist that attaches to the top of the flywheel you put pressure on it and rock it from side to side and it will break loose. That is if the c/s splines aren't frozen to the d/s. Have you tried to pull the g/c off of it yet ??
