Water Pressure Gauge

Hello All. I have a Johnson outboard "Stinger" 75 hp 2 stroke from the 70's. I want to add a water pressure gauge but there is no telltale to tap into. Can I still add one to this outboard?

You may add a tell-tale in the channel going from top of the exhaust cover and into the block as done on later models.
