Can the Tilt Trim Motor be removed from the Engine while on the Boat. Is a special flexible shaft needed to access the back, inside stud?
Thanks

I believe it's easier to pull the whole unit to remove the motor. Nice engineering for that back bolt, huh?

With the right 1/4" drive sockets and extensions I have taken them off before, but it's a bi**h.

Seen a guy remove the port stern bracket to get to that screw. That was a pain!

I removed the bolts holding the trim & tilt unit, then removed the whole unit to get to the t&t motor. It takes a little wiggling to get it out, but it's do-able. Good luck.
