Year ? (I believe this model is termed Phat 4....?)
I looked at a bunch of wiring diagrams that are already posted, but I didn't see this particular style and I'm replacing the remote and wiring harness with a used one I took off a boat being that this one is none existent. The replacement has the round red connection, but the existing engine harness has a rectangular shaped pigtail. My plans were to just rewire the engine harness from scratch, the wires are mostly all corroded anyhow. After I'd connect the two harness using a pass-through box or maybe even just bullet connectors being that I don't have the male end to the round red harness (engine side). Any objections or red flags? My biggest concern is simply this is my first outboard motor, I've worked on many sterndrives and waverunners but on this one I'm green.
