1998 ficht 225 hp evinrude outboard (oil warning system )

Hi, My oil warning system keeps going off even with my oil reserve is full.
Whats my problem and how do i fix this.
it has 1 oil tank and the no oil gage lights up. Thanks Ted

do you have 1 oil tank or 2?
check the senders for theese tanks make sure the float in it isnt stuck down

If its a 1998 it a Ficht, check the float in oil tank in boat. Did you run it low of oil? If so you may need to reprime system. If it is ok you will need to test the oil pump to see if it is working and the test pressure switch on oil pump.Dont run it untill you get everything tested!!!!

You may want to take it to a good dlr and have him put his laptop on it to see if you have any codes in the ECU.

Your SystemCheck gauge has 2 oil warnings on it, which one is lit up, the NO OIL or the LOW OIL? We need the answer to that question before we can give an accurate assesment of your problem.

hi, the no oil light lights up.

You need a trained tech with the diagnostic software for your FICHT. The NO OIL light can mean low oil pressure in the pump or a bad pressure regulator OR it could mean a bad oil injector. The software will show the error code that will tell what the problem is.
