CMC tilt/trim units?

I have been looking for at least a picture/ part no for a trim tilt unit that will fit my motor/ bracket; a 1979 evinrude 115hp. it seems impossible to figure out which type of original unit can fit into it. so i checked out CMC units because someone reccomended it and all their trim tilt products look like jack plates. are these universal trim units? or are they for height sensitive rigs like bass boats. any info is much appreciated.

They make both TT and jack plates.

The TT units are great, I have used one on my boat for 8 years with no porblems at all, they are abit spendy but as opposed to tryiing to find an OEM unit that actually works then tearing the engine apart to get it on they are a deal.

You get a warranty and it will work right out of the box, they have a 6'' set back which lets you run the engine abit higher too which help with top end.

Look around but as a rule iboats has the best price you can find, maybe check ebay.

yeah...i just checked 'em out....$750 for power trim? seems to be waaaay too expensive....does a company make the old style like they used to have brand new? i would buy a used one off ebay cause they are so much cheaper...and its not like if it breaks ya cant fix em...is it hard to install an original style unit to my bracket? thanks

If your motor is a 1979 the following units will fit your engine but you will also need the trim relay assy to go with it.
60hp 3-CYL 1986-1990,70hp 3-CYL 1979-90, 88 & 112hp 1987-98, 90hp 1981-98, 100 & 115hp 1978-90, 140hp1978-84, 150-175-200hp 1978-90

thanks so much for the info... no one could help me! ok i just ordered a unit like the one in the picture... "excellent working condition" for $200 on ebay...so now how can i aquire the relay assembly? can i get one new somewhere aftermarket? thanks
