timing 1980 75 HP evinrude

does anyone know the correct timing, and do you have to pull the plugs, spark test, or can I just use my timing lite? Thanks everyone, Sam 1980 75hp

First off you'll have to find the WOT timing spec which I don't have. You can set the timing tho' cranking the mtr over. Check the Top Secret files at the top of this forum and look for Joe Reeves timing procedure.

Full spark advance is 19 BTDC and pickup timing is TDC.
