Have my head over off to replace thermostat, does anyone know the head cover torque sequence for an 84 Johnson 35? Also, does the gasket need sealer on it?

And what is the method to heat up and test the temp sensor?

Thanks guys

Use OMC gasket sealing compond or permatex #3 for the sealer. Start at the middle of the head and work your way out to both ends torqueing to 60-84 in. lbs.
