No, the '54 uses an OMC made carburetor, while the '53 uses a Tillotson... Very different carbs.

Nearly impossible to find a "kit", but some individual parts are still available from Evinrude. Do you have a parts book? You will need one because the dealer probably doesn't have one either.

i am lost, i don't know really what part as to be change. maybe only spray the carburator with carburator cleaning fluid.

i know i need a float bowl gasket it is broke. but for the rest i don't really know. i never do this before.

but will like to order all parts from one place, if they have them all.

Not likely. You have to improvise sometimes on nearly 60 year old outboards. Gaskets? Get material, some sharp, fine-point scissors, and a hole punch set. Float needle? Might find something from another motor that is similar in dimensions.

Yea, like Chinewalker said, the '53 and older Fleetwin uses a Tillotson carb and parts will be a bit tougher to find. You can try Sea-Way Marine or Engine Blade and Prop. It seems like these two places have the best supply for older motors. The Tillotson carb on your motor looks very similar to the later style, but not quite the same. Oddly enough, the mounting is 90 degrees off and the low speed jet is opposite. I think you can get by with your original needle and seat, if you can't find one, but you'll want a new bowl gasket.

Just make a bowl gasket. Most gasket material will work of the same thickness. And I have the parts manual I can email if you want it. If yes, PM me your email address and model #.
