Electric starter

I have a 25 horse outboard short shaft evinrude model # e25rcsa serial # E0005210 . Is it possible to put a electric starter on this or is it going to cost more than it's worth ,the motor is worth about 700 ,thanks bucks

A brand new starter is about $125. Solenoid is $25. A new mounting bracket is $134.
Used would be cheaper. Contact the salvage yards listed in the "Top Secret" thread at the top of this forum.

Also, keep an eye on ebay, you may find a whole starter assy at a decent price.

You also may find a blown mtr on ebay with the electric start on it for a good price.
