hello, new member here. i have an 83 2hp seahorse that wont start. after messing around on it for days, I pulled the spark plug and yanked on the pull start rope a few times and believe i have water spraying out of the head. What could cause this? A crack in the cylinder? or could it be sucking it back up from the exhaust ports on the cylinder wall?? Im lost. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hopefully just a defective head gasket, remove the head and see what it looks like.

kinda sounds like a blown head gasket (best case scenario). its a cheap part.

I think you guys are right!! I just pulled the head off and that gasket has a big crack in it. I didnt even think that water went into the head on this because its so darn small. Thanks!

Let us know if the new head gasket fixes it. Make sure you check the head and make sure it's flat.

Fix one problem at a time, before you know it, you have it fixed.
