1990 Stop Ciruit Test

Can anyone tell me how to perform the stop circuit test? I checked spark with all the plugs in. no spark at all. This was with the black and yellow wire disconnected from the CDI . main harness was still connected. Any thoughts??

If the black/yellow wire was disconnected from the power pack and still no spark you have some mtr probs. It would be nice to know the model # of the mtr ??

As I said before, mtr probs. Pack, stator, timer base. Pretty hard to have 4 bad coils.
