Good day all. I am purchasing a 1991 Nitro 185TX next weekend and it is equipped with a Johnson Tracker 150hp with oil injection. I've never had an oil-injected outboard, and frankly, it scares me. I've done some reading and it seems to be the opinion of most that if the VRO system is properly maintained, it is very dependable. What can I do to insure that I've done all that I can to make this a system that I can depend upon. Also, what is an acceptable compression range for this motor? Thanks, Kevin

110-120 on the comp would be good, check inside the oil tank. inspect the oil/fuel lines as they will come apart from the inside causing problems, i had a 89 gt150 that was very reliable..happy boating..
