which plugs?

Hey everyone,
I'm looking at replacing the plugs on my outboard before I take it out for the first time this season but am confused as 2 part numbers come up... L77JC4 and QL77JC4.
Motor is a 1985 40hp evinrude E40ELCO with the VRO disconnected and replaced with a block mounted fuel pump. So my question is which plugs do I go with?
thanks,
Jacob

Re: which plugs?

The Q stands for quiet an is the preferred plug to reduce electronic noise. However you can use either one.

Re: which plugs?

If you had the VRO connected then the QL77JC4 would be the one you NEED but since it's not then whatever. i'd put QL77JC4's in though, there the same price in these parts.

cheers

Re: which plugs?

I have Ls in right now and my fish finder is very angry about it. It seemed like a fine way to save a few dollars. The Ls put out a lot of electrical interference. Get the QL.
