I am wondering if anyone knows the dimensions of the original cylinder diameter for a 1976 35 hp evinrude model 35602S. I am asking because i am debating whether to just bore it out and put oversized pistons or put original pistons back in it with just honing the cylinders. I honed the cylinders
once but it took a lot and there is still some scoring. I am concerned that they might be out of round or i took to much material off to put regular pistons back in it. any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Take it to a machine shop and have them mic the cylinders and then matching pistons for each. Not sure what the maximum clearence is, but one of the Johnny/Rude dudes might chime in and tell ya.! If you can post yer model# that will also help. Mean while I'll see what I can find out! Good luck....
