I need to clean the needle and seat along with the bowl, the starter seems to be more involved to remove than i have done on other motors. this is for a friend up the street. I am use to larger omc's. does the bracket and all the interconnected pieces have to be removed the get to the right carb bolt off?

thanks,
bb

I think you just have to remove the three or four bolts/nuts that hold the bracket on, shouldn't be to hard. Then the bracket should move enough to get to the carb bolt.

I just rebulit the carb on my 92 28 .Take the starter an bracket all the way off You will need the room to put the hoses back on I put clear hoses on the 28 . No more surging because of air leaks .
