69 and 67 Johnson parts

Hey everyone, I have a 69 Johnson 25 hp that runs...just needs a few parts...like shift lever and linkage. So, I found a 67 Johnson 20 hp...I dont know for sure if the parts can swap between the motors.

Does someone know the year ranges that will swap with a 69 Johnson 25 HP please.

Go the the marineengine.com and look up each engine and compare part numbers, they have parts lists back to 1955.

I am 99.9% posittive that they will. The 18's, 20's, and 25's are pretty much the same, with the exception of some powerhead differences. The shifter parts and lower units are the same on all three models.

Thanks for the replies.

though I dont care about the Motor just a few other parts...I can get the 67 cheap enough (less than 100) it'll make it worth it.
