Looks like you still have a the bolt in just in front of the trim tab, that one needs to come out also.

Looks like he's gotten that one loose. Good idea to leave one loose to catch it when it comes down.

Yea I think they're all stainless steel in aluminum. I appreciate all of your advice. Thank You. Unfortunately this project is going to have to wait till spring. Time to go back to school!

P.S
Should I store the engine with oil or should it be drained?

It's OK to leave oil in the lower unit, as long as there is not any water in there.
